Area Manager Belgium/Luxemburg (m/f) - fulltime
HUGO BOSS Belgium Retail BVBA | Antwerpen | 2283 | Full-time

As an Area Manager, you will have the overall responsibility for the operational element for the Belgian Retail stores and SIS of your area; this role will repost to the Head of Retail. You will be responsible for driving sales whilst ensuring compliance to company procedures through the store management teams in your area. You should expect to visit every store regularly, conducting a full visit measuring all KPI’s and Operational Processes.


What you can expect:

  • Drive sales KPI’s through store management, with regular reviews of achievements vs. benchmark via weekly conference call, individual calls, emails or visits. Current mail sales KPI’s include; Sales, UPT, Conversion and Database capture;
  • Guide Store Managers on tools and tips to improve KPI performance and review progress with a view to performance manage any failure to improve to benchmark levels;
  • Review operational standards and processes in all stores through regular visits and management updates by conference call, phone or email;
  • Promote the highest standards of Customer Experience in your area through the 7 Steps to Selling programme, the Mystery Shop reports and your visit feedback;
  • Promote and monitor use of Visual Merchandising guidelines and standards in your area to represent the brand to the highest standards at all times. Liaise with the Visual Merchandising Manager and the VM’s in your area to manage consistency of standards at all times;
  • Through store visits, conference calls, phone calls and emails support the implementation of all policies and procedures for retail stores. Monitor the effective use of procedures in order to feedback any suggested changes to colleagues in head office and to ensure all stores comply with agreed processes;
  • Maintain action plans and visit notes on all stores with the quarterly review being the main senior management review of the area performance and strategy.

Your profile:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing people in a retail environment, ideally including field management experience;
  • Demonstrates an ability to lead, motivate, train and develop a team through active management;
  • Understand and present the brand values;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Dutch,French (market language) and English 
  • Enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated. Shows ambition to drive through initiatives and change to achieve company targets;
  • Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continually improve;
  • Professionalism is maintained at all times;
  • Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully;
  • Work effectively and efficiently with the ability to establish credibility.
