This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start a career in health and safety, supporting the Health and Safety Manager to lead health and safety standards across the Northern Hub.

 

 

What you can expect:

  • Support the health and safety manager in the implementation of the health and safety strategy.
  • Assist the health and safety manager to develop and maintain the health and safety management system including all relevant policies and procedures, resources and tools.
  • Actively develop relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture.
  • Producing reports and insights into emerging trends and risks to ensure the health and safety strategy is aligned to the business needs.
  • Develop and launch clear and concise health and safety communications across the Northern Hub to ensure stores are kept up-to-date with initiatives and projects.
  • Coordinate safety related training to ensure appropriate levels of competence across the store estate and head office
  • Support the business in the incident investigation process to identify root causes and ensure that controls are implemented to prevent a reoccurrence.

Your profile:

  • Excellent Telephone Manor
  • Excellent computer skills: Excel, Powerpoint & Word
  • Health & Safety based experience
  • Experience in a retail or multi-site role
  • A good understanding of current and emerging H&S challenges
  • Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety Legislation
  • Our next Assessment Centre is scheduled for:  Monday 2nd March 9.30 am - 11.30 am at 39 Plender Street, London, NW1 0DT.
