Visual Merchandising Manager - (Maternity Cover Contract - start date January 2020)  

Location: 39 Plender Street, London NW1 0DT 

 

Directly Manages the Area VM Team who in turn support the Wholesale and Retail Trading Functions.  Supports the VM Execution Project Manager with projects throughout the business.  Provide support and resource in all stores VM during projects. This position will be responsible for the management of the VM Team and will have a close working relationship with the Director of Retail, Head of Wholesale and Retail Area Managers. The role will be primarily field based in conjunction with office days.

 

 

What you can expect:

  • Liaise with the Retail Director to ensure that the visual merchandising is maintained to a high standard
  • Plans the VM Calendar to ensure all key dates are highlighted and ensures the Visual Merchandisers update the calendar regularly
  • Ensure that window schemes are installed in accordance with company guidelines
  • Regular store visits to ensure that high standards are maintained across the business
  • Work with business partners to ensure that standards are maintained in accordance with the Hugo Boss corporate VM directives
  • Model store – Supervise the VM team to ensure the correct layouts and rules are followed. Give feedback and support to the retail team
  • Market visits – commercial view and competitor activity
  • VM support in store floor moves
  • Regular feedback with Head of VM
  • Understand and represent the brand attributes
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, train and develop a team
  • Good communication skills on all levels of the Hugo Boss business and also when dealing with customers, partners and suppliers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel. Good understanding of the SAP system
  • Enthusiastic self-confident and self-motivated
  • Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and is driven to continually improve
  • Always presents a professional image
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively
  • This role will involve travelling around the UK & Ireland

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your profile:

  • A comprehensive retail background
  • A good understanding of commercial practice
  • Extensive experience in a visual merchandising role
  • A good understanding of the business and the Hugo Boss corporate values
  • Adobe Illustrator and Adobe photoshop beneficial
  • Understanding of CAD programmes
  • SAP, Word, Powerpoint, Excel essential
