Human Resources & Training Internship
HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. | New York City | 2494 | Full-time

We are looking for proactive interns to join the Human Resources team of the U.S. corporate office in New York on August 17th, 2020, for 6 months. As an Intern in our Human Resources Department you will be assisting the Director of Training for the Americas with managing the HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. USA Internship Program. Tasks will therefore include reviewing all Internship applications, coordinating interviews, conducting phone interviews and assisting in selecting qualified candidates. The Intern will be responsible for assembling new-hire packets, conducting the Intern Orientation as well as for acting as a liaison for current Interns while providing support with any issues, concerns or complaints. He/ She will support the Learning Management System, help with training preparations and has the opportunity to be present in several corporate as well as store trainings. Furthermore, the Intern will assist with the employee performance management process and has to handle confidential information with integrity. The internship is unpaid. What you can expect:

  • Spend 2 - 3 days in a NY HUGO BOSS retail store to understand one of the key target groups of Training Americas and one of our core business channels
  • Support Training Event Coordination (Pre and Post): Location Research & Comparison, Preparation, Evaluation and Reporting
  • Support Learning Management System
    o E-Learning trouble shooting in cooperation with HUGO BOSS Global Training department.
  • Support other HR or Training related daily tasks & projects as needed
  • Recording and maintaining attendance records
  • Maintaining employee training files
  • Possibility to participate or even assist in New York based training event(s)
  • Assist the Human Resources Team with managing the HUGO BOSS USA Internship Program
  • Review all internship applications, coordinate and conduct phone interviews, and assist in selecting qualified candidates
  • Act as liaison for current interns, providing support with any issues, concerns, or complaints
  • Set up all new interns and conduct intern orientations (review policies, introductions, tours, etc.)
  • Prepare and edit correspondence and memos from dictation, written, and verbal direction
  • Transfer acquired knowledge of process & procedures to incoming interns as needed
  • Provide telephone/front desk coverage
  • Assemble new-hire packets
  • Assist in employee performance management process
  • Handle confidential information with integrity
  • Special HR projects and assignments as requested by HR team (i.e. audit reports, EEO, monthly census data, etc.)

Your profile:

  • Highly motivated and strong interest in Human Resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team player as well as independently
  • Solution and result oriented - self-starter who goes the extra mile
  • Curious mindset, fast learner, able to make constructive suggestions for optimization of processes
  • Strong computer skills (especially MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook)
  • German Language skills are a plus
  • Cultural adaptability and awareness (previous experience of living abroad a plus)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
