PR Editorial Communications Internship

We are looking for proactive interns to join the PR Editorial Communications team of the U.S. corporate office in New York on February 17th, 2020, for 6 months. The Internship candidate will be able to gain an insight into all Public Relations department projects including but not limited to Press Communications, Strategies, and Organization. The internship is unpaid. HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. is an Equal Employment/Affirmative Employer (M/F/D/V).

What you can expect:

  • Press Communications
  • Updating Contact Database – Cision, FGPS Platforms
  • Magazine Library – calling in magazines from publishers via email / phone
  • Editorial Reports/ Press Event Reports – learning DMR, Meltwater platforms
  • Communicating/organizing Shipping Logistics, tracking packages, booking messengers
  • Providing Credit information for publications on BOSS, HUGO product descriptions and Retail information
  • Social Media – support Global HQ with Editorial Credit info for posting on HUGO BOSS Social Platforms
  • Identifying seasonal collections to pull from the Showroom for PR
  • Preparing Showroom for meetings/ press days
  • Store pulls, sending email requests to arrange store appointments, keep record of product pulled, support coordinator on-site during appointment
  • Organizing thank you gifts, flowers for editors/stylists
  • Contributing ideas & feedback on PR topics

  • How to source contacts – learning Cision platform
  • Understanding how the brand works to secure product placements across all media platforms
  • What editorial value is and why it’s important – learning DMR platform
  • Importance of digital presence for a brand – learning Meltwater platform
  • Valuable press interaction experience at press meetings/appointments
  • Learning how to appropriately handle PR situations, building confidence through experience
  • Learning how to work towards the best interest of a brand

Your profile:

  • Studies in Advertising and Marketing Communications, Public Relations
  • Must be proactive and creative
  • Outgoing personality
  • Terrific interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
