Travel Retail Internship
HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. | New York City | 2494 | Full-time

We are looking for proactive interns to join the Travel Retail team of the U.S. corporate office in New York on August 17th, 2020, for 6 months. The Internship candidate will support the Travel Retail Department across many different professional functions and receive an introduction into the Travel Retail Business Model. This includes sales, buying, merchandising, product lifecycle, open-to-buy planning and regional KPI reporting. Moreover, the Intern will be responsible for following-up with customers and making order recommendations. The Intern will also be involved in the seasonal market process and will therefore analyze seasonal selling as well as attend market appointments and assist with order entry. What you can expect:

  • Assisting in presentation of the collection to buyers and interacting with major accounts (Paradies Lagardere, Heinemann, DFS, etc.)
  • Prepare each partner’s assortment plan before buying sessions
  • Review market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potentials, prices and discount rates
  • Preparing and analyzing sales statistics in Excel
  • Ensure all partners receive their goods according to shipping deadlines
  • Process client RTVs and manage special reporting requests for key accounts
  • Manage photo review process
  • Communicate NOS basics availability and process client orders (order entry and shipping on SAP)
  • Maintain contact information for business partners and wholesale specialist list
  • Support the Travel Retail Director on one-time needs (PowerPoint presentations, ad-hoc analysis, etc.)
  • Visually organizing displays, events and market preparation in the showroom

Your profile:

  • Studies in Accounting, Economics or General Business Management
  • Preferably Postgraduate with practical experience in this field or similar
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel, and SAP
  • Manage difficult tasks effectively
  • Excellent analytical and strategic skills
  • Effective problem solver
