US PR Intern - Communications
HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. | New York City | United States | Part-time
  

The PR Intern – Communications will support the PR department with daily responsibilities including but not limited to press communications, media strategies, PR collection organization, and editorial requests.

 

 

- Must be able to work on location ~20-24 hours per week

- Rate: $15/hr

- This position is not eligible for relocation

 

What you can expect:

Communication

  • Assist with PR Communications – sending Media Alerts and Press Releases & sharing Editorial highlight newsletters
  • Maintain press lists & update contact databases (Launchmetrics/ Meltwater/ Cision)
  • Support with editorial Reports/ Press Event Reports – learning DMR, Launchmetrics platforms
  • Work on clippings from editorial coverage, events & capsule launches
  • Correspond directly with magazine assistants as needed
  • Providing Credit information for publications on BOSS, HUGO product descriptions and Retail information
  • Social Media – support Global HQ with Editorial Credit info for posting on HUGO BOSS Social Platforms

 

Editorial Requests

  • Support Editorial Requests for both US and Global publications
  • Sample Tracking – Inventory control using Launchmetrics to scan in/out samples for shoots and call back outstanding product
  • Organize all Editorial send outs/Shipments/ Messengers (IBC/ FED Ex/ Lightspeed)
  • Update Editorial Tracking Reports / Daily Send out List
  • Prepare International Shipments/ Proforma Invoices/ Trouble shoot customs issues
  • Communicating/organizing Shipping Logistics, tracking packages, booking messengers
  • Send Loan invoices to stylists/Editors and to PR team
  • Inspect all outgoing and incoming garments for any imperfections, dry clean/ fix items as needed

 

PR Closet & Showroom Organization

  • Assist with Showroom/PR Closet Organization and appearance – daily maintenance and organization
  • Identifying seasonal collections to pull from the Showroom for PR
  • Work with Launchmetrics – input collections each season for BOSS Menswear/ Womenswear and HUGO Menswear
  • Preparing showroom space for editor/stylist appointments and meetings
  • Check/Order Supplies – communicate needs to PR Coordinator
  • Organize PR product transfers for Sample sales

 

Store Pulls

  • Coordinate Store Pulls for editorial requests
  • Tracking and check in of all returned product to ensure prompt returns to the stores
  • Sending email requests to arrange store appointments, keep record of product pulled, support coordinator on-site during appointment

 

Gifting

  • Support product gifting initiatives for editors/stylists
  • Organizing thank you gifts, flowers for editors/stylists

 

Miscellaneous Tasks

  • Contributing ideas & feedback on PR topics
  • Assist with editor/stylist appointments
  • Executing market research & projects
  • Support events & press days

Your profile:

  • Studies in Advertising and Marketing Communications, Public Relations
  • Must be proactive and creative
  • Outgoing personality
  • Terrific interpersonal and communication skills
  • Available to commit to work ~20 hours per week, in person, for a full semester
