US Planning & Allocation Intern
HUGO BOSS Fashions, Inc. | New York City | United States | Part-time
  

As a member of the Planning & Allocation team, you will work closely with the direct managers who are responsible for driving financial and inventory strategies for the Retail & E-commerce channels across the Americas. Our intern will support all department tasks including but not limited to retail analysis, supply chain management, merchandise assortment development, sales forecasting & store allocations.
 

- Must be able to work on location ~20-24 hours per week

- Rate: $15/hr

- This position is not eligible for relocation

 

What you can expect:

  • Strategic development of annual and monthly sales, margin, returns, markdowns and inventory plans for both Fashion and Basic businesses.
  • Provide buying with analytics to support assortment decisions, SKU performance and depth.
  • Assist with the execution of assortment planning for two pre-collections and two main collections.  
  • Support allocation team with financial targets and strategies made in market to maximize inventory efficiency.
  • Forecast sales for basics program.
  • Deliver weekly sales reporting to aid in business analysis and strategy development.
  • Distribute merchandise to stores at style | color | size | fit | price level based on business trends, reporting analysis and management objectives.
  • Prepare, recommend, and communicate weekly product performance. Evaluating BIS merchandise selling reports, understanding any shifts in the business, and reacting accordingly to present key findings to management.
  • Re-allocate product as necessary based on shifting business trends related to business objectives.
  • Monitor sales and update management on replenishment strategy for all seasonal, and key item programs.
  • Conduct in depth style, color, size, fit and price level selling analysis regularly for optimum product performance.
  • Collaborate with various resources to conduct daily responsibilities (i.e. Buyers, Wholesale, Distribution Center and Retail Store Managers).

Your profile:

  • Studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics or General Business Management 
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent analytical and strategic skills
  • Adapts to shifting circumstances in a business environment
  • Effective problem solver
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel and AO
  • Available to commit to work for ~20 hours per week, in person, for a full semester
